About	Evelyn Belcher Welsh, 84, of Vinton, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 30, 2025. She was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Bessie Belcher; brothers, Paul "Price" Belcher, Irvin Belcher, Richard Belcher, Michael Belcher and sister, Betty Noble. She is survived by her husband of 69 years, Gordon Welsh; daughters, Jeanne Wohlford (Steve), Cindy Welsh (Judy Taylor); grandchildren, Justin Wohlford (Meg), Megan Meza (fiancé, Gabriel); great grandchildren, Tyson and Lennon Wohlford, Parker and Blaire Meza; sisters, Barbara Karnes, Marietta Meador, Juanita Barbour along with nieces and nephews. Evelyn was a retired school bus driver for Roanoke County Public Schools having worked 44 years and was an avid fan of William Byrd High School sports. The family will receive friends Monday, February 3, 2025 from 2pm - 4pm and 6pm - 8pm at the Oakey's Vinton Chapel. The funeral service will be held Tuesday, February 4, 2025 at 10:00 AM in Oakey's Vinton Chapel with Rev. Dr. Chris Monroe officiating. Burial will follow in the Old Dominion Memorial Gardens. Flowers will be appreciated or in lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to the Vinton Baptist Church.
