About	Richard L. Sowers, 71, of Roanoke, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, August 16, 2015 in Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ruby and Garman Sowers Sr. He is survived by his wife, Peggy Sowers; brothers, Bernie Sowers (Kathryn), Garman Sowers, Jr. (Dorothy), a chosen brother, Larry Riley (Vickie); nephews, Thomas B. Sowers, Sr., John David Patsel, Terry Lee Patsel,; Niece, Tammy Young (Martin) and special fishing and golf buddy, Taylor Young; as well as numerous grand nieces, grand nephews, cousins, friends and neighbors. Richard retired from Norfolk Southern Railroad Mechanical Dept., loved fishing, golf, hunting, gardening and ballroom dancing. Graveside services will be held 10 a.m. on Wednesday, August 19, 2015 at Cedar Lawn Memorial Park, with the Rev. Don Eshelman officiating.
