About	Gene Lewis Hudson, 76, of Vinton, passed away on Sunday, February 6, 2022 after a courageous battle with cancer. Gene was preceded in death by his parents, John and Louise Hudson; brother and sister-in-law, Wayne and Gloria Hudson and two daughters, Cindy Sheppard and Sherry Dickerson. Gene is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Cathy Hudson; daughter, Linda Moore; ex son-in-law, Donnie Moore; nephew, Mike Hudson; several grandchildren and great grandchildren and loving dog, Sweetie. The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm on Saturday, February 26, 2022 at Oakey's Vinton Chapel where a memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm.
