Dean Roger Turner, of Morganton, NC passed away, Wednesday, April 20, 2022. Born on June 1, 1948, in Roanoke, VA, he was the son of the late Harry and Winnie Turner. He was a sergeant in the US Air Force. Dean was a very funny guy with a big heart. He was a hardworking, good ol’ country boy. Dean enjoyed fishing, hunting, and working on cars. He was a person you could call on.
Dean is survived by his children, Jennifer Turner, Chad Turner, Doug Nichols, 9 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren; and brothers, H.F. Turner and Wade Turner.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 3 p.m., Sunday, April 24, 2022 at Sossoman Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at 12:30 p.m., Monday, April 25, 2022 at Mountain View Cemetery in Vinton, VA.
Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.
