About	Nathaniel Glenn Mayhew, 43, of Roanoke, Va., passed away on Thursday, January 26, 2023, at his home. He was born in Roanoke, Va., on November 2, 1979. He was a graduate of William Byrd High School where he played football and attended James Madison University (JMU) where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science. Nathaniel was a member of the First Baptist Church-Roanoke where he had worked as a sound technician. He enjoyed playing the guitar, loved to listen to music and was a woodworker. He was preceded in death by his mother, Deborah English Mayhew; brother, Mark William Mayhew; paternal grandparents, Roscar and Mabel Mayhew; and maternal grandmother, Jettie Adkins English. He is survived by his father, E. Glenn Mayhew and his wife, Bobbie Mayhew, along with her children, Aaron Yost, Ryan Yost and their families; maternal grandfather, Curtis English; several cousins, aunts and uncles; and his special cat, Kitty. The family will receive friends from 10 until 11 a.m. on Monday, January 30, 2023, in the Faith Chapel at First Baptist Church-Roanoke with the funeral service to follow at 11 a.m. with Dr. Bryan E.
