About	Gary Cecil Brown, 70, of Vinton, Virginia, passed away on Saturday, October 15, 2022. He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Brown; sister-in-law, Evelyn Ward; and brother-in-law, Charles Lewis Bailey. Gary is survived by his wife of 45 years, Nancy B. Brown; daughter, Stephanie (Adam) Cook of Roanoke; grandson, James Patrick Cook; brother-in-law, Rev. Tony Ward; sister-in-law, Kaye Mullins; and special dog, Abby. He was a graduate of William Byrd High School, and he continued his education and graduated from Virginia Western. Gary worked most of his life as a machinist and owned his own machine shop, Machine Magic, until his retirement. He loved designing parts for everything but especially for race cars and motorcycles, even making motorcycle wheels for Jimmy Buffet. Gary loved drag racing, hunting and fishing.
