About	John Howard Overstreet, age 77, of Roanoke, Virginia, passed into the presence of his Lord Jesus Christ on February 17, 2023, after a long battle with Parkinson’s disease. John was born on February 12, 1946 to Thomas Littleton Overstreet and Christine Baldwin Overstreet. He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Dorothy (Dottie) Nelson Overstreet. As well as his daughter, Tracie (Michael) Conley and son, John (Carrie) Overstreet. Grandchildren, Dylan Conley, John Trent Overstreet, Sydnie Conley, and Ella Overstreet. Also survived by his brother Larry (Grace) Overstreet, and nephews Daniel (Haruko) Overstreet and Mark (Jessica) Overstreet. A sister-in-law Mary Nelson Goin, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. John grew up in Vinton, Virginia and graduated from William Byrd High School. He received an associates degree in engineering from Virginia Western Community College. He worked for Appalachian Power Company for 31 years. Visitation will be Tuesday February 21, 2023 from 5-8pm at Oakey’s North. Service will be Wednesday February 22,2023 at 11am at Melrose Baptist Church on Peters Creek Road. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Michael J.
