About	Christopher Wayne Blevins, 75, of Vinton, Va., passed away on Tuesday, June 13, 2023, after battling several severe medical conditions. He was preceded in death by his parents, Howard W. and Mary P. Blevins, and his wife of 46 years, Patricia H. Blevins. He is survived by his sons, Brian W. Blevins (Lori) and Eric W. Blevins (Sarah); grandchildren, Jacob W., Natalie M., and Logan W. Blevins; sister, Bonnie B. Baker (Doug); life-long friend, Jay Shifflet; and business partner and friend, Terry W. Ramsey. Chris graduated from William Byrd High School, Ferrum College, East Tennessee State, and the University of Virginia. He taught middle school math and science in Botetourt County for 39 years. In high school, he was a talented drummer and held First Chair in the All-State Band for four consecutive years. From childhood, Chris was a hard worker and loved gardens and plants. He was part owner, then owner, of the CT Christmas Tree Farm in Botetourt County and owner of Botetourt Garden Center and Landscaping Service. A Memorial Service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, June 17, 2023, at Oakey’s Vinton Chapel with the Rev. Tina Yates officiating.
