About	Rebecca (Becky) Doss Nichols Born June 26, 1943, to Thomas and Gertrude Doss of Roanoke, Virginia. Becky married Edward Nichols on April 15, 1961, and had 3 daughters: Debbie Meadows (John), Jennie Broyles (Jeffrey), and Laura Ricker. Grandchildren include Jordan Gibson, Emily Berrios (Kenny), and Marie-Claire Meadows. Great-Grandchildren include Hanna, Jayce, and Bailey Gibson and Sofia Rose Berrios. Other close family members include Troy, Shanea, and Klay Dempsey. Becky also had many close and dear friends across the country. She lived for many years in Roanoke until moving to the Atlanta area in 1988 when Ed was transferred there with the Norfolk Southern Railroad. They stayed in Georgia for 30 years, and returned to the Roanoke area in 2018, settling in Moneta, VA. Becky accepted Jesus Christ early in life and was baptized at Salem Baptist Church. She spent many years as a member of Hollins Road Baptist Church in Roanoke, VA serving the Lord and her community in many capacities. When she and Ed moved to Georgia, she again served as a member of Sunrise Baptist Church in Lawrenceville, GA. A favorite family memory is of Becky raising her beautiful alto voice in song praising God. Her greatest joy was being with family, and she spent as much time with them as possible. She will be sorely missed by all whose lives she touched in her gentle and compassionate way. The family will receive friends Monday, July 25, 2022 from 6-8 p.m. at Simpson Funeral Home Peters Creek Road Chapel. Services will be held Tuesday, July 26, 2022 at 12 p.m. at Simpson Funeral Home Peters Creek Road Chapel. Interment will follow services at Sherwood Memorial Park.
