He was preceded in death by his son, Marvin Lee Cooper, Jr.; his parents, Earnest and Daisy Cooper; brother, Henry Cooper; sisters, Jean Ransom, Phyllis Hunter, Patsy Harris; and his father and mother-in-law, John and Hattie Smith. Marvin is survived by his wife of 53 1/2 years, Janet Irene Cooper; son, Craig Cooper and wife, Samantha; grandsons, Jonathan Cooper, Bryceton Cooper; honorary son, James Switzer; great grandson, Kayden Cooper; sisters, Nancy Draper, Earnestine Peters; and several nephews, nieces, close relatives and friends.
