About	Peggy Lee Brown (née Brooks), age 86, formerly of Roanoke, Virginia and Elizabeth City, North Carolina, passed away on February 21, 2024, in High Point, North Carolina. She was born on June 1, 1937, in Franklin County, Virginia. Peggy was preceded in death by her husband, Stuart Delano Brown; mother, Ruby Carter Goodman: father, Laban Odell Goodman; and brothers, Berkley Richard Goodman, and David Wayne Goodman. She is survived by her son, Kevin Terry Brown (Kim); sister, Sandra Goodman Pruden (Luther); brother, Dennis Kevin Goodman (Beth); sister-in-law, Fay McDaniel (Tony); grandchildren, Andrew Carter Brown (Bridget), and Austin Cory Brown; and many nieces and nephews and other loving family members. Peggy was a kind, compassionate, and generous woman who was known for her loving nature. She was so proud of her grandchildren and cherished spending time with them. Peggy attended William Byrd High School, Class of 1955, and pursued a career as a secretary. In her free time, she enjoyed cooking, bowling, playing pinochle, and fishing with loved ones at the Outer Banks of North Carolina. Family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance and celebration of Peggy's life on Thursday, June 6th, 2024, at 5:00 PM at Oakey's Chapel (South) in Roanoke, Virginia. At 7:00 PM, the Reverend Peter Schemm will offer comforting words for the family and lead a memorialization for Peggy. The family would like to thank the staff at Hospice of the Piedmont for the compassionate care they delivered to Peggy and her family.
