About	Edward (Ed or Eddie) Brady Lassiter Jr., 75, of Roanoke, Virginia, lost his battle with cancer on Wednesday, April 17, 2024. He was a faithful member of Woodlawn United Methodist Church for 50 years. As a regional salesman, Edward worked for many companies over the years, but most recently he worked for Brame Specialty. He enjoyed movies, coaching elite recreational sports for the youth, and UVA sports. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family at the beach. Edward was preceded in death by his parents, Edward B. Lassiter Sr. and Sylvia Adams Lassiter and his sister, Billie Lynn Mercer. Those left to cherish his memory is the joy of his life, his wife of 52 years, Gay Lassiter; his daughter, Kristal Lassiter of Lago Vista, Texas; and his sons, Brady Lassiter and wife, Ingrid, of Richmond, Virginia, and David Lassiter and wife, Anne, of Atlanta, Georgia. Also surviving are his grandchildren, Noah and Rain Nelson, Owen and Locke Lassiter, and Parker and Sterling Lassiter, and his niece and nephew, Jimmy and Lynn Mercer of Fredericksburg, Virginia. A Memorial Service will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, April 22, 2024, at Woodlawn United Methodist Church with a visitation at the church beginning an hour prior to the service. In Lieu of Flowers, The family requests donations be made to Woodlawn United Methodist Church;s Scholarship Fund.
