Barry Lynn Ward, 59, of Roanoke, died Tuesday, June 22, 1999. He was a 1958 graduate of William Byrd High School and an alumni of Emory & Henry College. Barry had a long and successful career as a real estate broker in the Roanoke Valley. He was preceded in death by his mother, Shirley P. Ward; and a brother, William F. (Sonny) Ward; and his father-in-law, Aubrey Jones. Surviving are his wife; a son and daughter-in-law; a daughter and son-in-law; one granddaughter; his father, William W. Ward; two sisters and a brother-in-law; two sisters-in-law and a brother-in-law; one niece and three nephews; and his mother-in-law. Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Thursday, June 24, 1999, at Oakey's North Chapel with Dr. Charles G. Fuller and the Rev. Charles Ward officiating. Burial will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Oakey's North Chapel.
