About	Tony D Matherly, 51, of Vinton, went home to be with the Lord, on Wednesday, March 23, 2016 after a long illness. Born and raised in Vinton, he graduated from William Byrd High School, and went on to proudly serve his country in the US Air Force. He relocated to Florida, where he started his business. He returned home to spend his final days with family. He is survived by his parents; Lee Matherly, Hilda Glovier, his 2 sisters; Karen Cox (Glenn), Lynette Santore (Anthony), and his brother Jeff Matherly (Debbie). Also surviving are 5 nieces, 5 nephews and numerous other family members and friends. A celebration of his life will be held 2:00 PM, Tuesday, March 29, 2016 at Oakey’s Vinton Chapel. Chaplain Justin Brown will officiate, Military honors will be presented immediately after. The family will receive friends on Monday from 6-8 PM at Oakey’s Vinton Chapel.
