James Lewis (Jay) Trout, II, 51 of Roanoke County went home to be with the Lord on Friday March 18, 2016.
He was a member of Charity Baptist Church in Vinton, and was employed at the Landing Restaurant on Smith Mountain Lake. Jay was an avid hunter and fisherman, and was preceded in death by his parents, James and Faye Ferguson Trout.
He is survived by his wife, Lori Vest Trout, daughter, Emily Nicole Trout and Michael Whitt, a son, Ethan James Trout, a granddaughter, Chloe Elizabeth , his aunts, Barbara and Frank Mullen, Diane and Thurman Wimmer, his uncles, Rick Bryant, Doug Trout, his mother-in-law, Nancy Smith Vest, a sister-in-law and husband, Cindy Vest Poff and husband, Kevin, nieces and nephews, Ashley Poff Krawchison and husband, Michael, Jordan Poff, devoted friends, “Brothers”, Mark Dean, John Hylton and Paul Kipley.
Services will be at Oakey’s Vinton Chapel at Noon on Wednesday, March 23, 2017. Pastor Maurice Pendleton will officiate. Interment will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at Oakey’s Vinton Chapel from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M on Tuesday March 22nd, 2016.
