About	Roger Lyndon Flippen, 50, of Troutville, went to be with the Lord surrounded by his family on Thursday, July 21, 2011. He was a past employee of Double Envelope, The Roanoke Times, and Arkay Packaging. A resident of Botetourt, he was a member of New Beginnings Church of Cloverdale. Roger is survived by his wife of 27 years, Becky Lyle Flippen; his daughter, Lyndsey Allen and husband, Cameron; daughter, Kayla Flippen; father, Roger Flippen and wife, Delphia; mother, Marian Gray; sister, Janice Foster and husband, Danny; brother, Randy Flippen and wife, Marie; brother-in-laws, Gary Lyle and wife, Crystal, Mark Lyle and wife, Peggy, Timmy Lyle and wife, Mary, Tony Lyle and wife, Cynthia; sister-in-law, Gail Newman; and many nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, July 23, 2011, at Oakey's East Chapel with Pastor Allen Woodie and the Rev. Tracy Terry officiating. Interment will follow in Mountain View Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday July from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Arrangements by Oakey's East Chapel.
