About	Robert S. Hartsel, Sr., of Hardy passed away Sunday, March 3, 2013, at age 82. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mary Haymaker Hartsel and Frank Clifton Hartsel, as well as his first wife, Martha St.Clair Hartsel; daughter, Susan Marie Hartsel; and brothers, Norman and Donnie Hartsel. Survivors include his wife, Ruth Clingenpeel Hartsel; children, Robert S. Hartsel, Jr. (Donna), Debbie Minnix (Bobby), and Beth Powell. Also surviving are brothers, Cliff Hartsel (Barbara) and Paul Hartsel (Bonnie); sister-in-law, JoAn Hartsel; stepchildren, Frank Clingenpeel, Martha (Barry) Young and Vickie (Randy) Klosterman; grandchildren Bo Minnix (Kelley), Brandon Minnix (Amy), Jason Hartsel and Meredith Hartsel; step-grandchildren, Mackenzie Klosterman, Samantha Klosterman, Brandon Young, Wendy Harman (Shannon) and Kristin Young; one stepgreat-grandchild; and many nieces and nephews. He was very involved with Red Valley United Methodist Church. He retired from Mick-or-Mack Stores after almost 40 years and was Store Manager for almost twenty years at the Vinton location. He loved the outdoors, hunting, fishing and farming. He was a United States Marine and fought in the Korean Conflict. Thank you to the men of Red Valley who took turns staying with Bob and a special thanks to the wonderful caregivers at the Virginia Veterans Care Center in Salem. Funeral services will be conducted at noon on Friday, March 8, 2013 at Oakey's Vinton Chapel with Rev. Josh King officiating Burial will follow in Sherwood Memorial Park with military honors by the D.A.V. Honor Guard. Visitation will be Thursday from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Oakey's Vinton Chapel,
