About	HUNTER B. HALE, JR., 70, of the Poplar Hill Community, went to be with the Lord he served on Tuesday, June 18, 2019 at his home. He was born December 19, 1948 at Pearisburg, VA, the son of Hunter B., Sr. & Margaret G. Williams Hale. He served as a Pastor for Norwood Baptist Church, Forest, VA, and Iron Gate Baptist Church, Iron Gate, VA. He served on the Bedford County School Board for 12 years and worked at Armour Food Company. He went to Virginia Tech and was an avid Hokies fan. He enjoyed playing softball and coached children’s softball and basketball. He was a Gideon in the past and spent most of his time in retirement reading his bible. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Larry Hale. Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 47 years, Frances Melvin Hale; his daughters & son-in-law, Heather Hale Wright, Poplar Hill, VA and Christina & David Selfe, Colonial Beach, VA; a grandson, Hunter Wright and two step-grandchildren, Ben Selfe and Tara Selfe. Per his wishes, he has been cremated. Memorial service will be held Saturday, June 22, 2019 at 11:00 A.M. at Riverview Baptist Church with Pastor Shaun Wilburn officiating.
