Elmer Judson Craft Jr., of Vinton, Va., passed away Friday, June 5, 2009. He was a CPA in the Roanoke Valley for 36 years, as the owner of Circle C Consultants and Rapid Tax. He was the son of the late Elmer and Lucille Craft. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Jennifer Ellen Craft; brother, Mike Craft; sister, Bettie Underwood; father-inlaw and mother-in-law, Lynn and Geraldine Phillips; and brother-in-law, Jimmy Phillips. He was a devoted husband, father, and "Big Papi" to his grandchildren. Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 41 years, Nancy (Chee Chee) Craft; son, Robbie Craft; daughter and son-in-law, Mike and Missy Stanley; grandchildren, Michael and Katherine Stanley; beloved companion and best friend, Hacker; granddog, Knox; sisters, Nancy Wallen, Donna Conner, and Janet Hodges; brother-in-law and sister-inlaw, John and Gaile Ashbury; sister-in-law, Brenda Phillips; and many nieces, nephews, extended family, friends, and devoted clients; and friends from the Emmaus and Kairos Community. Donations may be made to the Jennifer Ellen Craft Scholarship Fund, c/o William Byrd High School, or Kairos Prison Ministry, c/o Mike Henderson, 6551 Poages Mill Drive, Roanoke, Va. 24018, or India Missions Fund, c/o Vinton Baptist Church. Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. on Wednesday, June 10, 2009, at Vinton Baptist Church with Dr. William Booth, Dr. Chris Monroe, and Dr. Bill Ross officiating. Burial will follow in Mountain View Cemetery.
