About	Patricia Holmes Blevins, loving wife, mother and grandmother, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, May 28, 2014. She is survived by husband of 46 years, Christopher W.; sons, Brian W. Blevins and Eric W. and wife Sarah C. Blevins; grandchildren, Jacob W., Natalie M., and Logan W. Blevins. Also surviving are sister-in-law, Bonnie B. and husband Doug Baker and daughter Summer C. Baker. Pat has numerous cousins on the Semones and Perdue side of her family. Pat graduated William Byrd High School in 1965 and was a 1968 registered nurse graduate of CHRV School of Nursing. She was an ophthalmology and otolaryngology nurse at Gill Memorial EENT Hospital and Community Hospital for 30 years. Pat was an avid bird watcher and photographer. Her most favorite memories included family trips to the Outer Banks of North Carolina and Kiptopeke, Virginia. She loved dogs and could always be counted on to "dog-sit" family pets. She unconditionally loved her three grandchildren and granddogs. She spoiled them all. Memorial Service conducted by Pastor B. Failes of Thrasher Memorial UMC will be held on Saturday, May 31, 2014 at 2 p.m. at Oakey's Vinton Chapel. Family visitation will be one hour prior. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society (2840 Electric Rd, Roanoke, VA 24018) or the Roanoke Valley SPCA (1340 Baldwin Ave., NE, Roanoke, VA 24012).
