Brenda Gale Cannaday, 61, of Vinton, passed away Monday, May 28, 2007. She was a resident of Berkshire Healthcare Center and a member of Lynn Haven Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Harry Brammer Cannaday, Sr. and Marie Dobbins Cannaday; brothers, Harry Brammer Cannaday, Jr. and Roger Cannaday. She is survived by uncles, George and Wilton Sutphin; nieces, Amy Cannaday Keinstead, Laura Cannaday, Melissa Cannaday Mennick; nephews, Todd H. Cannaday and Steve Cannaday; Michael R. Beck, former husband; Tammy Lynn Carr and Michelle Renee Hadley, stepdaughters; Ruth H. Tennell, former mother-in-law; and special friend of the family, Louise Zimmerman. The services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, June 1, 2007 at Lynn Haven Baptist Church, followed by a short graveside service in Floyd County at the Cannaday Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12 noon to 2 p.m. June 1, 2007, prior to the service at the church. Arrangements by Oakey's Vinton Chapel, 982-2221.
