Betty Wiley Bedwell left her earthly home on April 17, 2015. She had been in bad health for several years. She was born in Vinton. She is preceded in death by parents, Lewis Floyd Wiley and Christine Holland Wiley; her beloved pet, Pepe; and a close friend, Nancy Schwab. Betty is survived by her sister and husband; nephew; great-nephew; great-nieces; also several cousins; and "special" nieces.
Over her years of working, she was a secretary for several doctors. Betty was a graduate of William Byrd High, and a 50-year member of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority, Iota Master Chapter. Betty supported and loved her family and friends even opening her home for as long as they needed. Special thanks to friends for their help and support. Thanks also to Berkshire Nursing Home and a special thanks to Snyder's Nursing Home for their care and concern for Betty and the family.
Honoring Betty's request there will be no funeral or visitation. Private burial will be at a later time. Arrangements by Simpson Funeral Home, 540-366-0707.
