About	Donald Richard Booth, 52, went to be with the Lord Monday, January 4, 1999. He was a native of Vinton and had been a Peninsula resident for over 30 years. Mr. Booth was employed by M. Rosenblatt & Son of Newport News as an electrical engineering technician. He was a graduate of Virginia Western Community College, Roanoke. He was a member of First Free Will Baptist Church, Newport News, where he served as deacon, choir director for 16 years, and sound ministry of the church. He also served on the School Board of Peninsula Christian School. He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Phyllis Arrington Booth; his parents, Gerald and Mildred Booth of Vinton; and aunts, Jean Carter, Alpha Booth and Gladys Rieves. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Peninsula Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held Wednesday at 12:30 p.m. at First Free Will Baptist Church by Rev. Tag Kilgore. The family will also receive friends Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Oakey's Funeral Home, Vinton Chapel. A graveside service will be held Thursday at 11:00 a.m. in Mountain View Cemetery, Vinton, by Dr. William Ross, Pastor of Vinton Baptist Church.
