Tonia Greer Hackett, 63, of Roanoke, Virginia, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 22, 2023.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Lois Greer, and former husband and friend, William "Chip" Hackett.
Tonia was a true warrior who fought metastatic breast cancer for 15 years. She counselled others with cancer diagnosis and inspired many to live life to the fullest. Although Tonia had countless friends that she had made through the years, she never met a stranger.
Surviving is her daughter, Chelsae Barrett (Jakob), grandson, Wesley Barrett; brother, Jeff Greer; Special aunt, Carol Laprad; niece, Hillary Long (Sam); nephew, Seth Greer; special friend, Debbie Stokes (Jim); her OCC family; many friends; and her special pup, Jax.
The family will receive friends from 10 until 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 25, 2023, at Oakey's East Chapel with the service beginning at 11 a.m. with Pastor Paul Hatfield officiating.
