About	Darryl (Eddie) Brizendine, 52, of Salem, Va., passed away on Monday, October 19, 2009. He was born on October 25, 1956, in Roanoke, Va., son of the late James Edward and Ruth Lorraine Cary Brizendine. Mr. Brizendine worked for Robertson Marketing as a distribution supervisor and was a member of the Penguin Club. He is survived by his loving wife, Janine Crouch Brizendine; two children, Travis James Brizendine and Kyndal Leigh Brizendine; brother, Thomas Mack Brizendine; four sisters, Carolyn Neamand and husband, Alan, Sharon Wertz, Teresa Strobel, and Stacy Shaver and husband, Billy; foster brother, Michael Moore and wife, Rosalind; father and mother-in-law, Bill and Margaret Crouch; brother-inlaw, Stephen Crouch and wife, Brooke; and numerous nieces and nephews. Memorial service will be conducted 2 p.m. on Thursday, October 22, 2009, at the chapel of John M. Oakey and Son, Salem with the Rev. Dave Vanderpool officiating. There will be no visitation at the funeral home. A reception will be held at the Penguin Club following the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Mr. Brizendine's memory to the Penguin Club Christmas Basket Fund, 360 Penguin Lane, Salem, Va. 24153 or to the Salem LaCrosse Foundation, 1001 Mountain View Dr., Salem, Va. 24153.
