Gary F. Ruddick, 61, of Vinton, went Home to be with the Lord on Thursday, December 5, 2019.
He was born in Indiana May 29, 1958, son of the late Norma and John Ruddick.
Gary grew up in Vinton. He graduated from William Byrd High School, where he was a member of the William Byrd Marching Band.
He loved music, especially classical music. He also enjoyed reading, his favorite book was "A night to Remember" (Titanic).
He enjoyed working at George's Florist.
He is survived by his brother, Alan Ruddick and his wife, Christie; nephew, Thomas Shields, niece, Katina Ruddick. Also surviving are his fiancée, Angela Trea Webb; numerous other family members and friends.
Funeral service will be held at the Graveside, 2:00 Pm Saturday, December 14, 2019 at Mountain View Cemetery. Pastor Jo from Thrasher UMC will officiate. Arrangements by Oakey's Funeral Home Vinton, VA.
