About	Glenn Elliott Stanley, 61, of Vinton, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, December 15, 2016. Glenn loved music, and played guitar. He was a history buff who seemed to remember everything, and he loved anything involving airplanes. He loved to work from an early age. He retired from US Airways (formerly Piedmont), as a training instructor with over 20 years of service. Glenn is survived by his parents; Raymond and Patricia “Pat” Benois Stanley; his brother, Randy and wife Rhonda; numerous cousins and friends. Graveside funeral service will be held 2:00 PM Monday, December 19, 2016, at Mountain View Cemetery. Pastor Rodger Hogan will officiate. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Meals on Wheels Program P.O. Box 14205, Roanoke VA 24038, or favorite charity. The family will receive friends on Sunday, December 18, 2016 form 2-4 and 6-8 PM at Oakey’s Vinton Chapel.
