Funeral Services for Mrs. Sharon Firebaugh Stuckey, 63, who entered into rest August 9, 2018 will be conducted Monday morning at 10 o’clock from Oakey’s Vinton Chapel, Vinton, VA. Dr. Paul W. Noe officiating. Interment will be held in Mountain View Cemetery, Vinton, VA. The family will receive friends Sunday evening from 6 until 8 at Oakey’s Vinton Chapel.
Sharon was a native of Vinton, Virginia, a long-time resident of the Roanoke area, having made North Augusta, SC her home for the past three years. She was an active member of Sweetwater Baptist Church where she was known for her generosity and sewing ability. Sharon enjoyed making quilts and always ensured that those in need received one of her hand-made blankets. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who greatly loved and supported her grandchildren. Sharon was preceded in death by her father, Cecil Firebaugh.
Survivors include her husband of 25 years, Tom Stuckey; six children, Wendy (Kevin) Niday, Roanoke, VA, Amy (Dan) Fluharty, Fredericksburg, VA, Emily (Ben) Hartman, Roanoke, VA, Thomas (Melissa) Hayden, Goodview, VA, Jason (Teresa) Stuckey, Prince George, VA and Jodi (Darold) Jones, Boones Mill, VA; her mother, June Hubbard, Roanoke, VA; a sister, Carolyn (David) Cornett, Troutville, VA; 13 grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, August 18, 2018 at 4 o’clock in Sweetwater Baptist Church. Dr. Paul W. Noe officiating.
