About | Wilma, "Jean" Stanley, 57, was granted her angel wings on June 25, 2012 after a strong and courageous battle with cancer. She was born on May 12, 1955 in Ronceverte, W.Va., to Edwin and Florine Forren. She was employed by the Botetourt County building office and moved to Chesterfield County in 2002 where she continued her career as a combination building inspector/ supervisor. She also served on many state and national building code committees. Jean was an incredible person and loved spending time with her parents, children and grandchildren. She is survived by her father and stepmother, Edwin and Ruth Forren; mother, Florine Forren; brother and sister-in-law, Dallas and Brenda Forren; daughter and son-in-law, Shannon and Donnie Harless; son and daughter-in-law, Shawn and Jennifer Stanley; grandchildren, Mitchell, Kierstyn, Austin and Maddie. Jean also leaves behind her beloved uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, cousins and close friends. Jean was a dedicated daughter, mother, grandmother and friend. She was kind, selfless and adored by everyone who knew her. She will be greatly missed and never forgotten! A memorial service will be held at Bonsack Baptist Church, 4845 Cloverdale Road, Roanoke, Va., on July 2 at 6 p.m., with the family receiving friends two hours prior. A service in Richmond will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation at www.themmrf.org or by mail to MMRF, 383 Main Ave., 5th Floor, Norwalk, Conn. 06851.
