Dean Allen Wimer, 65, of Roanoke, Virginia, passed away on Saturday, February 13, 2021, after a long battle with failing health due to traumatic brain injury. Dean was born in Painesville, Ohio, and resided in the Roanoke Valley most of his life. He also resided in Bakersfield, California and Phoenix, Arizona.
Dean is survived by his father and mother, Raymond and Lillian Wimer; brothers, Dennis Wimer and wife, Peggy, Blane Wimer and his wife, Sharon, Tim Liptak and wife, Denise, all of Roanoke, and Steve Liptak and his wife, Deb of Fort Worth, Texas; sisters, Toma Lloyd and partner, Mike Kruszenski, of Cleveland, Ohio, Belinda Dangerfield and husband, Bill, of Winston-Salem, North Carolina; and numerous nieces and nephews.
