About | Brian Scott Clemmer, 59, of Roanoke, went to be with his Heavenly Father on Saturday, April 4, 2015. He was a faithful member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church and loved his church family. He was a member of The Knights of Columbus. He was a Veteran of the United States Marine Corps. Brian loved working with under privileged children at Head Start in Rocky Mount, Virginia. He loved being a Foster parent. He graduated with a Degree in Criminal Justice from Virginia Western Community College. Brian adored his wife. Brian loved telling others, "Eat your hearts out buddy, she's all mine." He adored his children and was constantly involved in their lives. He never missed any sport or activities that his children were involved with. Brian enjoyed being with his family, taking vacations to Myrtle Beach, Cruises, day trips to the Blue Ridge Parkway and the West Virginia Mountains. Enjoyed Wine Festivals. One of his favorite family past times was watching old Western movies, si-fy, romances. He was a diehard Redskin and UNC basketball fan. Brain loved the outdoors. He enjoyed coon hunting, bass fishing, salt water fishing. He loved his German Shepherds and raising Jack Russell Terriers. His favorite and most loved JR Terrier was, Crackers. He loved being involved and supporting his wife's love for horses. He is preceded in death by his parents, Robert Eugene Clemmer and Bernadette Grubb Clemmer. He is survived by his loving soulmate, his "EVERYTHING." Joann Miller Clemmer, daughter, Alexandra "Allie" Renee, son, Andrew William Clemmer. Father and Mother-in-Law, John "Jack" Joseph and Peggy Joan Miller, Sister-in-Law, Susan Marie and husband, Dr. Zachary Swartz, special nephew's, Ryan, Evan, and Colton. Sisters, Katherine (Kim) Law, Lynn Reid, Lisa and Leslie Clemmer also many cousins, niece, and nephew. Funeral Services will be held at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, Salem, Virginia at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 11, 2015 with Father McKay officiating. Interment will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. A visitation will be from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 11, 2015 at the church. Family will also receive friends on Friday evening, April 10, 2015 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at Oakey's North Chapel. |
