I graduated from the University of Utah in 1966, and was commissioned a second lieutenant in the Air Force from the Air Force ROTC program. I served as a motion picture officer in Hollywood Calif., as an OTS instructor, as a speech writer for the Secretary of the Air Force Office of Information, as the Chief of plans for the United Nations Command, Seoul Korea, as the Editor of AIRMAN Magazine, official magazine of the Air Force, and as Editor of the European Stars and Stripes. It was a great honor to serve my country. I have always appreciated growing up in Ely, Nevada. Our community gave me the important values of serving country, of being honest, and being proud and thankful for the privilege of being an American.
