Class of 1967
Army, 3 Years
Went in the Army after graduation. Took basic training in Fort Jackson South Carolina and Vietnam training in Ft Gordon Ga. Went into combat engineers and was sent to Germany for 32 months.

Jim Benson
Class of 1964
Air Force, 4 Years
Entered the Air Force in January of 65 and took my basis in Sanantonio, Texas. After basis I was sent to Rantoul Ill. for twenty three weeks of training to be a missle mechanis. My next base was Robins Air Force in Warner Robinsw Ga.
We worked on the Hound Dog missle that was carried on the wings of the B-52.
In the summer of 68 I got to go to Loring Maine for three months to work up there on thier missles with them. That was the best time of my four years. It was cooler, it was back up north andthose Canadian ladies were a lot of fun!

I was an FTM for six years, four of which I spent assigned to the Guided Missile Destroyer USS Sellers, home port Charleston, S.C. My first two years were spent in basic and tecnical schools. They included Mk 118 misslie fire control computer, Tartar Missile test set, and the ANSPS 39 search radar. We made 4 mediterainian cruises and a north atlantic cruise during that 4 years along with several trips to the sunny Carribian and several ports along the east coast.
