WEIR – David Lewis Jr., 54, New Castle, formerly of Johnstown, departed this life Saturday, Jan. 16, 2016, of post-surgical complications at Edison Manor, New Castle. David was the son of Mary Joan Dudash Weir, New Castle, formerly of Johnstown, and the late David Lewis Weir Sr. David graduated from Westmont Hilltop High School and Williamsport Area Community College. David was an avid fisherman and gardener. In addition to his mother, David is survived by and will be missed by his sisters, Karen E. Weir, and husband, Andre de Bardelaben, Edinburg, and Mary S. (Weir) Lipton, and husband, Andrew, Richland, Wash., and brother, John Paul Weir, and husband, Frank Theis, Pottstown. He also will be dearly missed by his niece, Anna K. Lipton; nephew, Nathan D. Lipton, both of Richland Wash.; and by his aunts, uncles and cousins. There are no calling hours planned. Memorial services will be scheduled at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made in David’s name to the American Diabetes Association, 100 W. Station Square Drive 1900, Pittsburgh, Pa. 15219.
