October 31, 2008 Stephen D. Slifka, 47, of Fairmount, died Friday, October 31. A lifetime resident of Syracuse, he was employed by the town of Geddes Highway Dept. His wife, Monica, died in 2001. Surviving are his daughter, Kimberly of Solvay; brothers, William M. (Elizabeth) Slifka of Camillus, David A. (Karen) Slifka of Newton, MA, Michael F. (Donna) Slifka of Nadick, MA, Robert J. (Kathy) Slifka of Marcellus and Daniel T. (Beth) Slifka of Glenfield; one aunt and one uncle; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
