| About Me | Married for 13 years to the love of my life! 2 Step kids - Allison 25 - married to Cody Jason 30 - married to Amy 3 Grandbabies - Tate, Ellie, Cooper 2 Neices, 2 Nephews, 2 Great Neices Small Business owner - D.Rae Designs 1981-1984 - Spent 3 1/2 years on a LPGA Golf training program at Colonial Country Club and Bear Creek (never made it to the LPGA, but sure learned how to play a competitive round of golf!); Competed in the Miss Texas USA Pageant for 3 years - 1981, 1982, 1985 (finalist); 1984 - Moved to Dallas to pursue a full-time modeling career (various jobs from 1980-1989); May 8, 1986 - Daddy died from complications from a Motorcycle wreck. One of the most devistating days of my family's life. The Lord used his death to begin His magnificent work in me; drawing me to Himself and bringing me to salvation. 1990 - Attended Alladin Cosmetology School 1991 - Graduated Cosmetology School (Cosmetologist from 1991-1998) 1993 - I opened my own Salon in Sundance Square; I operated it for 5 years. The Lord used a client of mine to introduce me to my husband Skip. 1998 - I liquidated my business, and shut the doors the day before we were married (April 25, 1998). 1998 - Present - Active in my Church and in politics, have my own design business - D.Rae Designs, travel with Skip on Business trips, spend several months out of the year at the "Barn" (our other home) in Kansas (Skip frequently travels on business to Kansas), I do a great deal of designing and remodeling for ...(read more) |
