Lonnie was part of the first graduating class of WHS and is missed dearly by his daughters, Lori Pope (WHS class of 1988), LeAnne Pope, and niece, Andrea Beauchamp Hammond (Class of 1987).
Lori Pope '88 said:
I miss my dad everyday. He was apart of graduating with the first class from western in 1963 & I was happy to have went to western with my cousin Andrea Beauchamp & the both of us graduated from western high.
