After basic training in Lackland AFB in Texas, I was assigned to the 451st Strategic Missile Wing at Lowry AFB in Denver CO. This was also the very first ICBM Wing to become operation in the United States Arsenal. Was stationed there for the entire length of my enlistment and of the four years I spent approx half of it assigned to one of the sites underground approx 100 miles east of Denver on what was once an old bombing range. The rest of the time I was assigned to 725th Strategic Missile Squadron on the main base as an administrative aid. 1961-1965
