My sister Carmen passed away in Arlington, Virginia. Aged 74. She was preceded in death by her son Joey, husband Richard, father Harry Jacobson Sr., and mother Alicia. Carmen remained in Northern Virginia after graduating from WSHS in 1970. She devoted her entire life to caring for her son Joey, who was afflicted by muscular dystrophy. A testament to her care and devotion, Joey lived to the age of 30, attaining an age far exceeding the life expectancy of those afflicted by the disease. She gave all, and now rests in peace. - Harry Jacobson

I met Carmen when we waited on the same table during the senior class spaghetti dinner. Went out for a few fun times after that. Always had a smile and fun to be around. RIP Carmen.
