About Me	I came to Texas to do my student teaching during my senior year of college. I decided to move here permanently, was hired in the spring of 1995, and am currently in my 14th year of teaching. Jay and I married in October 1997. He is a detective for the San Antonio Police Department. Our daughter, Sophia, was born in November 2000 and is now a second grader. I also have an older step-daughter, Madison, who was born in February 1995. She's an eighth grader in Smithville who gets to spend every other weekend with us.
