For years, "write and publish a good mystery novel" has been hovering near the top of my life list. So it felt great to achieve that goal with "Death at the Doorstep." The protagonist, Karin Niemi, is a freelance writer who lives in Ann Arbor but grew up in the UP. What a coincidence. Book 2 is currently underway. This one will take place in Munising and Marquette...which is probably why I'm having so much fun with it.
