I entered the US Army as a private in 1985. i served as an aircraft armament technician on the AH-1F Cobra Attack helicopter. I completed 2 college degees and progressed to the rank of CW3 before retiring. I also deployed to Iraq and participated in Iraqi Freedom. I also served three one year tours in S. Korea. While in the Army I was stationed at Ft Riley, KS, Ft Bragg, NC, Ft Eustis, VA.

Ken Kirschenman

My brother, Ken, joined the Air Force after he graduated in 1969 and served until 1975 during the Vietnam War. One of his duties was training dogs. His love of dogs continued after he was discharged. Ken was a professional ballroom dancer and instructor in Dallas and Tyler, Texas, for 36 years. In January 2012 he was diagnosed with a very rare, very aggressive type of cancer. He passed away March 2, 2012 at the age of 60. He is buried in Rock Island Arsenal National Cemetery.
