| About Me | I left for the Navy in September 1999 for five years. I was stationed in beautiful San Diego, California at the Marine Coprs Recruit Depot (bootcamp). While I was stationed out on the west coast I had lots of fun. Partying with friends in California and Tijuana, Mexico. A whole other world beyond the border! I had a beautiful son named Carter, 9. I met my husband Travis in 2001. I transferred back to the east coast in 2003 to Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point in North Carolina. Before then I went to Camp LeJuene, North Carolina for Field Medical Service School with the Marines. Basically, Marine Corps bootcamp for seven weeks, oh course during the hottest summer that I was stationed there! I had to leave Carter in Ohio with family until I had completed this training. I missed his first birthday, he was nine months old when I went away for school. It was either go through this school or be a single mom on a ship, that was not an option! Coming from a huge Navy city to a small little Marine Corps community, it was quite a culture shock. I became the lead and only tecnician of the Endodontic (root Canal) Department. I am very proud of this job, I was the only tech that provided care for the entire base. It was a nice little place to raise my son, but I basically hated it there. My husband transferred to Virginia and after I was discharged we joined him in Virginia and have been here for six years now. The Hampton Roads area (all of the major cities in the area) is pretty cool, but we are ready for a change of pace. We are moving to the country in Northern Virginia in about three weeks, cannot wait!!! We were married in September 2004. I attended Bryant & Stratton College in Virginia Beach. I graduated with Honors with an Associates Degree in Applied Science in Paralegal Studies. We have a daughter who was born in Ohio, (while my husband was delpoyed), in September 2006. Her name is Lillian 3. I also have a step son Travis 10. He lives in Southern Ohio with his mom, in a little town that is actually smaller than Wellington! Im not even sure if thay have a stoplight! This makes it rather nice when we have him and visit our family, it is o...(read more) |
