| About Me | I am a 49-year-old mother of three, ages 32, 24 and 22 and grandmother of two ages 6 and 5. My oldest daughter lives in VA and that gives me a chance to escape on a little mini vacation any time I feel the need to hear the patter of little feet. She and her husband also own a catering firm in northern VA/DC area and I get to sample great things that they make for their many events that they do. My other daughter age 23 is a graduate of MICA in Baltimore with a major in art history/ minor curating. She is enrolled at Corcoran College of Art and Design in Washington DC in the Masters Program majoring in Exhibition Design. She is a great shopping companion and we enjoy going to museums and art galleries. She is giving me a new appreciation for art and giving me an education about paintings and sculpture. She enjoys traveling also so when my husband doesn't want to go I know in her I have a willing traveling companion when she is home on break. My youngest is a son who graduated from Warwick High School (my alma mater) 2008 and he is attending Penn State Main Campus for Agribusiness with a minor in agronomy (study of soil and plants. He is currently looking for a job as he will be graduating in the spring of 2012 and he has taken the testing for grad school hoping he will be accepted. So he has two options. He also became an Eagle Scout in April of 2008, something of which we are very proud. I married Doug Miller in 1985, five years after we met. We are the best of friends. He and I own a motorhome and enjoy camping and going to Nascar races on the east coast. We also enjoy traveling to other states, especially warm states. I suffer from arthritis and other neuromuscular problems and he is my biggest cheerleader and help mate. We celebrated our 26th anniversary last year on Sept 14. I enjoy going out for lunch or dinner with girlfriends or my husband. I am a voracious reader, reading about 2-3 books a week. I enjoy being in book clubs. I am in one at the Lititz Public Library from August to May every year, I have been a participant for the past 6 years and it is a reading travelogue, we read a book from another country every month and then discuss it. I also enjoy scrapbooking, gathering pictures of my children, grandchildren, events and travels. I am also a big fan of movies on Lifetime and Hallmark Channel. My husband I are hoping to be able to travel on a larger trip this year in the motorhome but are not sure yet where. Our goal is to someday visit the west coast and travel the highway from California to Washington state and we would also like to travel the west coast using some of the old scenic routes.
