Stacey has served since 9 June 1999. She is a judge advocate general in the United States Air Force. During her service she has served both stateside and overseas. She has deployed twice in the fight against terrorism (Iraq and Qatar). She has performed duties as a prosecutor, a defense counsel, and legal advisor at various levels of command and was hand-selected to be the legal advisor on an accident investigation team immediately after an aircraft accident which involved the total loss of a C-130.
