Favorite School Memory	I came from a very disadvantaged background and did not have opportunity to participate in HS activities. Best memory: graduation.
About Me	Met the girl of my dreams and married her in 1989. Have 4 children; two biological and two adopted from Haiti. 6 grandchildren. Travelled the world. Special Olympics coach and mentor, and Scout leader, including the privilege of training my son, who is an athlete and Scout. Great naval career that began when I enlisted in 1985. Commissioned as an officer in the the Submarine Service. Worked with amazing teams on 4 subs, including the SOUTH DAKOTA which I commanded. Also served on surface ships and deployed as part of two aircraft carrier strike groups. Even got to fly in an F-18! Now I get to give back what so many have given to me by serving in my twilight tour commanding the Yale University Naval ROTC Unit and a Professor of Naval Science, teaching and mentoring midshipmen to become Naval leaders.
