Greenough, 71, of Brackney, PA passed away on Sunday, January 7, 2018 at Binghamton General Hospital after a courageous battle with liver cancer. He was born in Endicott, NY on February 5, 1946 to the late Ellsworth and Bernita Greenough. David is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Sandra Greenough and their daughter and son-in-law, Stacey and Thomas Hanna and son, Bradley Greenough. He was loved by his three grandchildren, Landon and Kailyn Hanna and Jaxon Greenough. He is survived by his sisters, Donna Foster and Sharon (Robert) Foster and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his siblings, Carol Elliott, Dennis, Roger, Linda and Robert Greenough. David lived all his life in Brackney. He was a member of Laborers Local 7 and worked all around New York State on the NYSEG power plants. He was an avid hunter and he also enjoyed golfing, football, NASCAR, and playing cards. He liked traveling, especially to the National Parks to enjoy the beautiful scenery of the USA. He also loved camping at Lake George with family and friends. A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, January 11, 2018 at 3:30pm at the Daniel K. Regan Funeral Home, 232 S. Main St., Montrose with Pastor Rick Rosenkrans of Silver Lake Christian Community Church officiating. A gathering of family and friends will be from 2-3:30pm prior to the service. A committal of his cremated remains will be done privately at Quaker Lake Cemetery by the family.
