| Events | ur classmate - Donna Marie Kurst October 9, 1946 - December 16, 2024 The passing of a loved one is especially difficult during the holidays; and so it is with the loss of Donna Marie Kurst on December 16, 2024. Donna was a transplanted New Yorker and long time resident of Cary, North Carolina. She is pre-deceased by her parents, Fred and Mildred Kurst of Vestal, New York. Her devoted brother, Jim Kurst, of Roxboro, North Carolina, has skillfully and with great dedication managed her care (along with family and friends) during the past 4 years. Donna was a devoted mother of four children: Elizabeth (Freeman), Michael Shanley III, Megan (DeAngelo), and Bridget (Veratti). Additionally, seven wonderful grandchildren brought joy and great happiness to her from the moment each one was born: Riley and Brooke Becker; Tommy, Tyler, and Brayden Veratti; and Brady and Jake DeAngelo. Finally, as a creative teacher and highly successful realtor, Donna Kurst brought a sense of enthusiasm, professionalism, and great energy to any project she undertook. She will be remembered for a quick sense of humor, a sparkle in her beautiful brown eyes, and a deep empathy for those whose lives she touched. A celebration of Donna’s life will be held in May, 2025 in Vestal, New York. Condolences may be sent to: www.brooksandwhite.com.
