About	Elaine L Decker,with profound sadness passed away at age 76 years old on Thursday October,27 2022 after a courageous 8 year battle with FTD dementia at her home with her husband by her side. Elaine was born February 7,1946 in Johnson City, NY the daughter of the late Arthur Decker and Doris Nauman Decker. Elaine was a proud graduate of Vestal Central high school in 1964.Elaine earned degrees from University of Pennsylvania in 1968 and her master’s at Syracuse university. Elaine worked at Big Brothers Big Sisters as Executive Director for 30 years in Stuart, Florida. Elaine moved to Saratoga in 2007 and took position at Old Brick Furniture until her retirement in retirement in 2013. Elaine enjoyed camping, going to music concerts at SPAC, Proctors, the Egg in Albany and going to movies and antiquing and especially going to the Vestal class reunions she was so very social and meeting her classmates of the class of 1964. Elaine is survived by her husband Lawrence and her brother Thomas Decker. At Elaine’s request there will services at this time. Elaine and I only he’d ten years together before her dementia took her away from me she fought it until the end, but being her caregiver for eight years and just being with her and caring for Elaine this experience made me a better person she will be truly missed!
