About	Hi there: My mother, Marjorie E Stanley was in the very first graduating class at the new Vestal HS...She passed away in April of 2013 and I retired from teaching early in order to take care of her from late 2011. I grew up in Berkshire, though I was born in Endicott. My mom and dad met at IBM just before WW2, he continued 'til retirement and mom moved on to food services in Newark Valley CS when I entered school. I have not been able to find any more details about my Mom's history at Vestal HS. Family stories from mom and others place the family on Bunn Hill road above Harper College and the kids went to UEHS until Vestal HS opened. I think the first class came from juniors at UE. I've read all of your FAQs so any links to info would be greatly appreciated. I attended MANY drum and bugle corps shows at both UE and Vestal as well as other NYS sites and ended up in them when I was of age. Went on to Fredonia State, then the US ARMY FIELD BAND (Washington, DC), Buddy Rich and Maynard Ferguson big bands, then 40 years of playing and teaching in the Washington, DC area....retired and moved to NC to care for mom....great journey! Still have a number of cousins in your area. BTW: My Granddad, mom's dad, helped build most of the major bridges in the Binghamton/Southern Tier area....great roots....thanks in advance for the kind consideration... :-) Gary Dailey
